Tickets 🎟️

Should I buy tickets online?

Yes, we recommend buying tickets on our website. This gives you the best price and ensures that a climbing harness is available when you arrive at the park.

Your ticket will be sent to you by email and must be shown at the ticket desk upon arrival.

When do I need to buy tickets online?

Tickets must be purchased online no later than 10:00 on the same day. After this time it is not possible to buy tickets online for that day.

Can I visit without buying tickets in advance (drop-in)?

Yes, you can visit the park as a drop-in guest. In that case you buy your ticket and sign a liability waiver when you arrive.

Please note that we have a limited number of climbing harnesses, so the park may be full.

The last possible drop-in is 2 hours before the park closes.

Do you offer season passes?

Yes, season passes can be purchased both on our website and at the ticket desk in the park. A season pass is personal and may only be used by one person.

If you have a season pass and want to reserve a spot, go to Buy Ticket on our website and select the “Reservation” tab. Choose your date and make a reservation.

You can also show up at the park and present your season pass at the ticket desk, but in that case you are not guaranteed a spot if the park is full.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, gift cards can be purchased on our website under Buy Ticket.

You can choose between several different amounts. The gift card will be sent electronically by email and can be used as payment for both day tickets and season passes. If you do not use the full amount, the remaining balance can be used on a later visit.

Gift cards are valid for two years.

Safety and climbing 🌳

How long does a visit to the climbing park take?

We recommend setting aside at least 3 hours for your visit. It may take up to 30 minutes from arrival until you have received your equipment and completed the safety training.

The time spent in the courses varies depending on how many courses you want to climb and how busy the park is. It is common to spend 1–3 hours in the climbing courses.

Many visitors stay 4–5 hours, especially if they also want to enjoy the playground, take breaks and maybe have a barbecue.

Do I need to complete training before climbing?

Yes. Everyone who wants to climb must complete a safety training session before they can climb independently.

The training takes about 15–20 minutes and consists of a video explaining the rules and equipmenta, and a practical introduction in the training course.

Our instructors may deny access to the courses if a guest does not follow the safety rules or is unable to demonstrate safe climbing.

Is there an age limit for climbing?

There is no minimum age for climbing in the park. Children under 12 years old must climb together with an adult in the green, blue and red courses. A maximum of four children per adult.

For the youngest children climbing in the yellow courses, an adult can supervise from the ground.

What height do I need to be to climb?

Different courses have different height requirements:

Children’s courses (yellow): minimum 80 cm
Family courses (green): minimum 110 cm
Challenging courses (blue and red): minimum 140 cm

In the children’s courses (yellow), an adult must supervise the child from the ground.

Do I need to sign a liability waiver?

Yes. Everyone who wants to climb must be registered on a liability waiver.

One form must be completed per group or family and signed by an adult or guardian.

If you buy tickets on our website, the waiver is included in the booking process. Drop-in guests must sign the form upon arrival.

Can I visit the park without climbing?

Yes, it is absolutely possible to visit the park without climbing.

We offer entry tickets without climbing, which give access to all facilities and activities in the park except the climbing courses. This is perfect for parents, grandparents or others who want to join the visit without climbing themselves.

It is also possible to upgrade to a climbing ticket later if you change your mind.

Do I need to be physically fit to climb?

No, most of the courses are suitable for ordinary families and do not require a high level of physical fitness.

We offer courses with different difficulty levels so both beginners and more experienced climbers can find a suitable challenge.

If you have back, neck or other health issues, we recommend contacting us in advance so we can help assess whether climbing is suitable for you.

Can I fly a drone in the park?

As a general rule, drone flying is not allowed in the park.

Drones used without permission may be confiscated by staff until the end of the visit.

Groups renting the park outside normal opening hours may apply for permission to fly a drone. Please contact us by email in advance.

Food and drinks 🌭

Is there a kiosk in the park?

Yes, the kiosk is located in the same building as the ticket desk.

We sell items such as hot dogs, ice cream, soft drinks, coffee and snacks. The kiosk opens at 11:00 and closes one hour before the park closes.

Can I bring my own food?

Ja, du kan gjerne ta med eigen mat til parken. Vi har benkar og bord plassert rundt i parken, både ute og under tak.

Can we use a barbecue in the park?

Yes. We have two large wood-fired barbecues where you can grill your own food.

We usually light the grills later in the day, and firewood and grilling tools are available for our guests.

Weather and clothing 🌤️

Is the park open when it rains?

Yes, the park is open in all kinds of weather. However, in case of strong winds or thunderstorms we may need to temporarily close parts of the courses.

Climbing in the rain is usually not a problem, and we have a covered area where you can take a break if a heavy shower passes by.

What kind of clothing should I wear?

We recommend light hiking or sports clothing, but most importantly you should dress according to the weather.

Layered clothing is a good idea, as you may get warm while being active. Running shoes or hiking shoes are well suited for climbing. Please note that the grass may be wet after rain, so footwear that tolerates some moisture is recommended.

We also sell thin climbing gloves in the kiosk. Gloves can be useful if it is cold or if you want extra comfort while climbing.

Facilities 🅿️

Is there parking at the park?

Yes. Shortly after leaving the main road you will find parking along the gravel road leading down to the park.

Please park in the marked spaces along the road. Parking is free and only available for park visitors during opening hours.

Camping is not allowed.

Do you have EV charging?

No, unfortunately we do not have EV charging at the park.

There are fast chargers in Valldal town centre, so please plan charging there before or after your visit if needed.

Are there toilets in the park?

Yes. At the end of the parking area near the entrance you will find a toilet building.

One of the toilets is wheelchair accessible and equipped with a baby changing table.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, dogs are welcome in the park as long as they are not a nuisance to other guests. Dogs must always be kept on a leash, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them.

Is smoking allowed in the park?

The park is smoke-free.

If you use snus (nicotine pouches), please dispose of used pouches in the waste bins and not on the ground. Snus can be very toxic for small children and dogs.
